I am not against politics in music but you need to do it in a more tongue in cheek way than this. Its just stupid.

I don't know. Mustaine response was fair and serious. I don't think you've got a lot of patience left for closet critics when you've been making music for a quarter of a decade.

Yeah that part was a bit...disheartening. He's pretty much saying he would rather be in denial and feel smug, than admit he was wrong and learn from it.

At least I don't think he takes that approach to his guitar playing...

Or 'these weapons can be launched in 45 minutes', right? I love how right wingers think lying about sex is worse than lying about WMDs. Still, give Dave credit, he's at least partially right about the UN. It needs reform desperately. Having said that, it's preferable to a god-bothering government like the one he supports. If it was really 'we, the people' then all forms of government would be abolished and the world would be a much better place.

I really want to get UA, though. If I can take NSBM then I'll probably love this.

Get it. It's the best album musically they've done in a long time. He and Drover have really good chemistry together. He also contradicts himself on a lot of the lyrics anyways.

I think this is hilarious that more than one guy from the UN would take the time to analyze Megadeth lyrics. It actually increases my faith in that organization, slightly.

Anyway, what did he expect? He wrote some asshole-ish lyrics and gets called upon it.

Dave Mustaine's mind has been poisoned by years of drug abuse, religious doctrine and Neo-con propaganda. A very bad combination with dire consequences. So the UN is the reason the world is so much more dangerous today? yeah right. It's sad so many Megadeth fans actually swallow all his diatribes rather than do their own research. And much of what he says in that song is not based on any facts whatsoever. Perfect example - "Iran supplies weapons to any terrorist group out there". Actually they only support Hezzbolah. They have never supported Al-Qaeda at all. Nor did Saddam. One of the strongest US allies in the mid east Saudia Arabia is the country with the strongest link to Al Qaeda. And they're also funding the Sunni extremists in Iraq right now. You know, the ones in league with Al-Qaeda.

Yes and Saudi Arabia has a non-demographic political system that is in many ways more oppressive than Saddams was, but they got all the oil so we cool.

*Shakes fist at superpower hypocrisy*
