wow, i'd love to hear a conversation between Nergal and Robbbbbb "fuckin'" Flynn.

seriously, though, Nergal seems like a cool guy and all that. i'm not a Behemoth fan, but they do have some songs that i think rule (namely Slaves Shall Serve).

Money makes this world turn. Who can blame them?

The artists at Ozzfest aren't getting paid. And why shouldn't artists strive to make money?

I really can't wait to go see them come August. Nile and Behemoth and a few other bands!! :dio:

The artists in Ozzfest aren't getting any recognition thus not selling any more albums too, thus not getting more money, right?

And your seconds sentence is exactly what I said. But there are some people in music business who actually don't make a dollar but still keep doing it in an art for art's sake mentality. I know this is probably a shocker for you.

Yeah but he's in a position to make money making music he loves, so why not go for it?

Most of the people not making money from their music are in that position because they haven't gotten the chance to make money from it. They could try making more sell-able music, but then they wouldn't be making music they love anymore.

Until Behemoth starts sucking, I am not going to criticize Nergal for trying to make money. Death metal isn't the most mainstream music obv. so to try and make some money for himself is understandable. It isn't like the 80s when metal was popular and profitable.

Tons of metal bands have played at Ozzfest so why are Behemoth and Nile getting criticized for playing at it this year?

And when exactly did I say he shouldn't? Of course he should. It's the greatest job in the world if you're able to make a living.

Wow, play "in front of Hatebreed"! There is a life goal if I have ever seen one.

Other than that Nergal seemed fairly reasonable.

Poland seems a rather fucked place to live. No wonder they all come here...

Read about the extreme homophobia over there. Scary.

I never saw Behemoth and Nile's participation in the Ozzfest as a negative thing. I'm glad actually they are recognized and invited to play. Plus Behemoth can introduce their sound to the American market easily through it.

Poland is facing a similar sitution as Malaysia. It's quite sad that of all countries, Poland is doing such a thing. Haven't they heard of the great heights Polish bands have achieved? Vader?

I personally wish Behemoth and Nergal all the success they can handle. I'm looking forward to seeing them at Ozzfest this year. As for the Polish Govt. and their attempts at censorship, I think it's disgraceful. I'm sure there are much bigger and pressing political and humanitarian issues that need to be addressed way before they go after bands like Behemoth. I think the Polish govt. have lost the top 3,000 pages of their "to do" list.
