Hmm I actually found that album to be very mediocre, and not very black metal...

Yeah I was enthusiastic about trying it after reading the review but I found it to be very disappointing. Didn't like it much at all.

Indeed , this album is not very BM in spirit nor in songwriting...
There is too much DM/TM feeling in it , for me anyway.
I'd give it 65/100... and classify it as black/death metal or something like that.

The new SIX FEET UNDER album "13" and it destroys. This album is very heavy and more brutal than the last few albums. It is almost as good as their first album "Haunted". Plus, it sounds especially killer with my 2 new 12" Alpine Type R speakers in my car. Probably one of the best sounding albums.

But, if you are a person into weak production metal or melodic pussy crap. Then, this is not for you. SFU just put out an album that is heavy as hell. Brutal as fyck. Almost as good as the new Bloodbath album.

ps, people who trash SFU usually try to find some weak sounding obscure band to worship. Just to make themselves unique. This SFU album is the shyt.

Trust me, I started playing Death Metal professionally back in 1987.

What I realise is that people either love SFU or hate em. The band is very simple old school death metal. But, I dig it alot. Check out a song or two and make your own opinion.

Yesterday my CDs arrived:
Woodtemple - Feel the Anger of the Wind
Drudkh - The Swan Road
Ulver - Nattens Madrigal
Isengard - Høstmørke
Finally got the first editions of the last two (from Moonfog & from Century Media) and not re-releases.

Here in Mexico we've got a Metal Market called El Chopo (which actually appears in the website Azrael mentioned in another thread).

Here in Mexico, most of the people who are into Black Metal are quite ignorant, they just know the big names (Emperor, Darkthrone, Burzum, Mayhem) so many excellent underground material stays on the shelves for a long time; plus, most of the people into BM here in Mexico aren't in the best economical position (as you know Mexico is 3rd World which means that 80% of the population is extremley poor, 18% lives OK, and 2% is extremely rich) so that gives me more time to buy all I want slowly. I don't have to rush to buy something in fear someone might get it before me; I actually saw the vinyl 2 weeks ago and I was sure it would be there for me yesterday.
