I downloaded Control and Resistance a while ago, and goddamnit i've got to buy this CD. Killer tech-thrash. These guys can handle their instruments as good as Dream Theater or something, but manage to not sound gay!

Any fans?

Watchtower is indeed quite amazing- check out Energetic Disassembly too, just as good as Control and Resistance but rawer. Watchtower and Mekong Delta are about as good as tech thrash get.

Yeah I like that album a lot, Ron Jarzombek is awesome :). He's got an instrumental album with Cannibal Corpse's bassist and Behold the Arctopus's drummer coming out this year that I predict will be cool.

"Instrumental" being the key word there. I remember when Ink Compatible came out, and his message board was littered with complaints and requests for a version without the vocals. Honestly, I thought the request was kind of understandable at the time (I haven't listened to it since then, I don't think, so maybe they weren't too bad..?), but I never heard if he released an instrumental version or not.

I will check out this new one when it comes out though. :)

I heard Ink Complete first, and the vocals scared me away from Ink Compatible... but I hadn't gotten used to Watchtower's vocalist at the time and now I somewhat have so maybe I'll have to try listening to that again haha.

Good band, im not so crazy about them but they are great musicians, although i would take Mekong Delta or Coroner over them any day.

Don't get me wrong, I like Coroner and they're a great band, but I've never been able to get into them to the same extent as Watchtower and Mekong Delta

I've had Energetic Dissasembly hiding away in mp3 form for ages. To be honest, I can't really get into it, it doesn't have that much ferocity or atmosphere, in my opinion. Will give it another listen after this thread though.

I wouldn't call it particularly ferocious either. More tech than thrash.

I've had Control And Resistance for ages, but STILL don't have the first album! They have re-released it though a few years back...
