I'm only about halfway through it, but so far it's exceptionally stupid. If you own everything from Louder than Hell onwards, you have heard this. I actually turned it down in case the neighbours overheard me playing it.

Oh god that sucked. The last two albums were bad, but this is insulting. I'm taking it back for a refund.

This is the only Manowar album I don't like. Louder Than Hell > Fighting the World.

I just listened to it a few more times just to make sure. And yep, it's just shameful.

Wow, you actually managed to sit through it more than once? That's quite an achievement. I enjoyed their previous albums (even though there is some absolutely mind numbing garbage on that album) but Gods of War is pretty much a waste of plastic.

No. Sleipnir, King of Kings, Loki and Sons of Odin are kickass tracks. True, not really worth the price. but still listenable.

Get "Kings of Metal" immediately.
After that get everything EXCEPT Louder than Hell, Gods of War, and Warriors of the World. Those albums are garbage.

The bonus track (die for metal) was the only song i liked on the album. and those lyrics sucked badly.

By the way anyone here know the band Nanowar? Just freaking hilarious and they sound great to.

I bought Battle Hymns and Sign of the Hammer. Any thoughts on them?

I haven't heard Sign of the Hammer, but Battle Hymns is a great album. A great mix of mid-paced and fast songs and two long epics that completely rules. The title track might be their best song ever.

Great albums, awesome even. The way Manowar should be remembered, since they are clearly Manowar no more.
