"Never Walk Alone" starts at the one-hour, nine-minute mark; "Play for Blood" can be heard at the two-hour, 56-minute mark.

You can skip forward. Songs sound great! :dio:

Not a word about these songs?

Both songs are really good, the best ive heard from the new album, in fact i think "Never Walk Alone" should be the single, is by far the catchiest song i heard from this record and the solo on "play for blood" is: :dio: .
Not counting the hideous "a tout le monde" this album is looking like a good step up from the not so great "the system has failed", of course this is no RIP but not many things are, good for Megadeth

Argh, they don't work anymore... Been replaced with a new numetallist show

The vid link didn't work either, but I found it here in good quality: http://youtube.com/watch?v=9IwbviL3ngA

I didn't really like the original, and I don't really like this one either. No surprise there. Hard to really say much more than that though as the original has the whole Youthanasia album to fit into (context, tones, etc.). This one just sorta sits there, and doesn't really give you anything else to work with even if you might have been "iffy"...

So I think if you don't almost immediately and emphatically like it more than the original, it'll be hard to not like it significantly less because it seems so out of place and like an alienation or something (can't really think of a good word for what I mean). But I suppose it's pretty much the same challenge for all remakes.

Sorry if that made no sense.

Well, Youthanasia happens to be my favorite Megadeth record. This post leaves me wondering, "Does he like or hate the album?"

Actually, contrary to what a lot of people think, A Tout Le Monde wasn't even Megadeth's first ballad. That honor goes to Foreclosure Of A Dream.

Youthanasia? Yeah, I like it overall. Of all the albums since Rust In Peace, it's probably my favorite. I just never really cared a lot for that song (along with a couple of others).

Youthanasia is my favorite, as well. And oddly enough, like I've mentioned here, "A Tout Le Monde" is my least favorite Megadeth song. I definitely this more rockin' version, and I really dig Cristina's vocals harmonizing with Dave's. It's not something I would have ever thought could work before. Dave simply doesn't have a great voice, as we all know. But I think it works really well here. I like this new version much better.

But again, I don't blame Dave for re-recording it. Musicians do that all the time, and they often include the re-recorded song on main albums, not b-sides or bonus tracks. I just don't like how Roadrunner is releasing it as a single—especially considering it was a single off of Youthanasia. But, hey, that's Roadrunner.

I listened to the song just now on Myspace. I'm actually pleasantly surprised. I like this new version a lot. Christina's vocals really breath a lot of new life into the song, and Dave's older/more mature voice (compared to his voice in the original) sounds considerably better. I did find it a little odd that Dave sounded almost like he was having fun singing the song (considering how deadpan it is), but nonetheless, a job well done.

Now hopefully the production on the new album will be beefed up a bit. It's too much like World Needs A Hero's production (a very pale sound).

And by the way, A Tout Le Monde is also probably the song on Youth... that I listen to least frequently. I don't really know why (may be because it does sound a little out of place on the album?). I like I Thought I Knew It All better.

It's your favorite or your favorite since Rust In Peace? ... If my wording made it sound as if it's my favorite 'deth album, that would be incorrect. Out of all their albums, my favorite is Rust In Peace, probably followed next by Killing Is My Business...

I've heard the re-recording a couple more times lately, and I still don't care for it. I don't care for the more up-tempo feel and I really don't care for the two vocals. Yes, this is a personal preference thing; I'm not disrespecting the song really. I've always thought it was a pretty weak track, and the new version hasn't really altered my thoughts about that.

I guess I was posting in response to Seinfeld's comment. And yes, it is my favorite.

I heard the Tout Le Monde song and I wasn't impressed at all. :[

That Scabbia chick in the song is pointless and does nothing for me. Just a really mediocre ballad.

Youth is my favorite Deth album bar-none. Rust In Peace and The System Has Failed would probably tie for second. Followed by Peace Sells.

I waited too long to click the link. Now the one hour nine minute mark has some silly sitdafuckdown nu metal.

I'm now listening to Youthanasia, because I can.
