Dimmu Borgir isn't exactly representative of the general direction of BM, heh.

Nothing wrong with the Baphomet theme IMO, but the general ugly photoshopped look of it sucks. Metal records used to have killer cover art. :sad:

I think in general cover art was better in the mid-90s but yeah there are always going to be a bunch of exceptions. I'm definitely not a big fan of most of Travis Smith's work, but then most of the bands he does art for I either never liked or used to like.

Yes. Metal records generally sounded better before they started recording everything in Pro Tools. Metal records generally looked better before they started doing every cover in Photoshop.
