MDB - A Line Of Deathless Kings

It's quite excellent although not as harsh as on early material.
Vibeke Stene has a bigger vocal presence on this album making things a little less metal, but she performs to perfection. I'd say the album is a mixture of World of Glass and Ashes.

The highlights in my opinion are:

Mercyside, Sanguine Sky, Down, Lotus and The Ravens

Sounds good, I'll have to have a listen. Interesting to see that Sirenia have got a new one out as well, you a fan of them?

I only have their first release "At sixes and seven" and it pretty much sounds like Tristania ( yeah i know, Veland was probably the main inspiration of Tristania) , so yeah I like them. I'll get to their other release when I get the chance.

That "The Other Side" song from the new Sirenia's been playing in my head all week. Album'll probably turn out a disappointment after it, Tristania seem better overall.

Got these in the mail today:

Before The Dawn - The Ghost
Before The Dawn - The First Chapter (DVD)

I ordered these online, cost me about $40 total. I hate when I have to do that. I got their first two in boston for $2 each. Could only find The Ghost on download, though. After I posted about their new album/single I figured it was about time I completed the collection. I even order the new album and single from some Finnish site for probably too much money! Haha.

Awesome band, though. :dio:

Tristania - World of Glass
Tristania - Illumination

I absolutely love World of Glass, been looking out for it for a long damn time and then I noticed the new one on for pretty cheap and bought it before the price shot up to HMV standards of 27.99.

Despite what some people say World of Glass is excellent. It's actually my second favorite after Widow's Weed.

Yeah, I heard it long before I read any reviews for it and I thought it was great and assumed it would have gotten some good reviews. I mean, The Shining Path, Tender Trip On Earth, Deadlocked, World of Glass, and Crushed Dreams are all worth the price alone. I really like the bonus song The Modern End too (I know its a cover, just cant remember from who it was made).

I listened to about 90% of Illumination tonight and Im quite pleased, I like it more than I remember liking Ashes, which wasnt much (Save for 2 or 3 songs). So far standout tracks for me are: Mercyside, The Ravens, and Destination Departure.

Today's mail:

Solitude Aeturnus - Beyond The Crimson Horizon (2006 Reissue w/Bonus Tracks)
Solitude Aeturnus - Into The Depths Of Sorrow (2006 Reissue w/Bonus Tracks)

I doubt anyone here bought it, but if you happened to buy the 2004 reiusse of Into The Depths Of Sorrow, this new reissue has an extra bonus track, a demo of "Transcending Sentinels." The demo of "City Of Armegeddon" that was on the original Brainticket reissue has been moved to the new Beyond The Crimson Horizon reiusse.

The albums could have used a little remix, but the remastered quality is an excellent upgrade.

Novembers Doom - The Novella Reservoir

Felt like trying something I had never heard so I bought this album
after seeing the cover and the tag suggesting Katatonia fans would like it.
Well the blind purchased turned out to be an awesome one!
really love the album so far. I aslo heard that their previous although very much different was excellent, so i'll most likely grad that one as well if I ever come across it!

Great album except for that stupid intro on the first track and the outro on the last.
