Wow. Blabbermouth is late with this one, huh? There's a lot more info available on this project at this point. Still, I can't wait! Should be killer.

I read an earlier post about this by Eyesore I think, although I didn't know there was going to be an album. I thought it was some cartoon of this character.

Oh, BTW does anyone know what the 'drumkit of hell' is? :P

-Devin is also working on a puppet (called Ziltoid) that will interview people and appear in the press instead of him from now on, and have its own little show on myspace. The album is its story.... or something along those lines

-Drumkit from Hell is a drum program that uses samples from Tomas Haake's kit.

Thanks. I'm really excited that it's going to be an album, anything Devin produces is amazing.

Thanks man, that's a huge chunk of info that wasn't included in the news.

Hmm, my only concern is that it'll be more funny than good.

I don't know. I think it'll be humorous, but in a mature way. I don't expect it to be goofy like Punky Bruster was. That album was written and recorded in a week, and was done basically for money (and it still rules!). This one seems to have stirred up a whole lot of passion within Devin. I think it's going to be awesome and serious, but in a Devin Townsend sarcastic manner.

Devin has always had a little bit of sarcasm/humour in his music, so this one might have a little bit more, but I think it'll mostly just be awesome.

Hmm, most of what Devin does is awesome, but I'm never too sure on irony in music. I love Stravinsky, but most people using similar ideas tend to use irony as a backup for possible musical failure. I feel this kinda eats away the credibility of an album, as it becomes less secure of itself.

Why change the name from the coolest name ever? THE MIGHTY MASURBATOR!!!

sounds like an interesting concept for an album.... and for much hilarity when it comes to 'deal with the press' time

I like the way Devin puts irony in his music; Strapping Young Lad especially. It sounds like he is sincere about making ridiculously intense music but also realizes how ridiculous extreme metal is at the same time. Music with strange contradictions like that is awesome (another thing like that that comes to mind is the Tool song Intermission)

Devin knows how to inject humor into a song without it coming off parodical.
