i say we take this a step forward and make petitions like this to send to metallica. and tell them to stop making albums. Or to axle rose, telling him to consider going out on stage when he is supposed to.

Di'anno was awesome with Maiden, unfortunately i cant say the same about his solo work, ive heard his latest album and i was extremely disapointed, its like he wasnt the same guy who sung on killers.

I actually haven't heard any of his solo work; my comment was based solely on Iron Maiden/Killers.

I got his live DVD as a birthday gift, and the man can't sing for fuck. It's sad in a way. Shot in 2003, 8 out of 13 songs are Maiden otherwise the thing wouldn't sell. For god's sake the name PAUL DIANNO is printed with Maiden-type letters. The DVD's name is BEAST IN THE EAST.... come on. Ask Dio if he has to put any Sabbath stuff in his albums / live sets.

Dianno did a good job with Maiden, but no way Maiden would achieve its legendary status if Dianno stayed in the vocals. I bet the guy spends an hour everyday day thanking God for having participated in a legendary metal band.

I prefer Wrathchild with Dianno's voice. But Bruce pwns Dianno when they recorded Prowler '88. Dickinson also slayed Dianno in Live After Death's Running Free.

I wish Anthrax all the best though."
MaidenNorway asked manager Lea Heart yesterday about the rumours, he said in a text message that they had heard the rumours but it was not going to happen.

BW&BK has received the following responses from the band regarding the petition:

Scott Ian (guitar) : "Paul Di'Anno rules."
Charlie Benante (drums): "Paul is great but not or what we're doing."
