Brazilian thrashers
SCARS are contuing to write material for their new CD, tentatively due later in the year. In the meantime, the band has decided to make its
"The Nether Hell" EP (2005) available for free download via its official web site. The package includes the full album, four bonus tracks and complete artwork (by
Gustave Doré). The free download starts March 1 and ends March 31 at
this location.
"The Nether Hell" featured a lyrical concept based on
"The Divine Comedy" by
Dante Alighieri (same book that
SEPULTURA's
"Dante XXI" was inspired by). The EP's musical direction was previously described in a press release as "furious thrash metal and some death metal influence."
