Downloading it at the moment :dio: Hopefully it's at least more consistent that Warriors of the World.

EDIT: A friend sent me a song called "Sleipnir". First impression: OMFG it starts with a one minute long narrative part  Quite possibly the most polished production they've ever had. Pretty standard verse with double bass drumming. AWESOME chorus! Adams sounds incredible! Great song overall.

This is the kind of band I won't download. If I download the album, who knows when I'll buy it. I only download albums I'll buy the day they're released—or close to it.

Well, after going through 16 tracks all I can say is that I'm dissapointed somewhat.
I knew it was coming, with the singles and all, but I hoped the full release will have more metal in it. Uninspiring at best and damn boring in the worst parts. Where are the guys who sang "true metal or no metal at all"?

I must say I'm kind of disappointed. It seems like all the best songs have already been released. King of Kings, Gods of War, Sons of Odin are great tracks but they have been out for quite some time now. I was hoping for the rest of the album to be as good as those but unfortunately most of the album is either narration or orchestration.

I'm gonna give it some time though before I pass my final judgement.

I really wish I could say that I'm just disappointed. This album pretty much sucks! The best songs can be found on the EP, and on the album we have to sit through a crapload of orchestral interludes and more fucking narrations than Rhapsody's entire discography!!! Not to mention that the last "Hail metal!" song is an embarrassment for the entire genre.

And after all the anticipation and waiting... Oh well, at least you get a rune key (a wrong one too, Thurisaz is the 'th' sound, not 'x'!!) and can have some fun translating the goddamm booklet.

I actually really enjoyed this one. But then again I love Rhapsody so it doesn't surprise me. "Loki God Of Fire" is my favourite at the moment.

One complain though: why the hell everything has to "rise up to the sky"?. In almost every song something or someone rises up like a goddamn valkyrie and rises up to the sky. I've never really liked Manowar's lyrics anyway so don't mind me...

The album is a concept, that justifies the frequent narrations, which are a bit too similar for my taste. However, technology has provided us with the ability to skip these parts, and that leaves us with about 9 songs and 50 min of wonderful Manowar music. I loved it, it contains some all time classics like "Sleipnir", as well as some tracks with riff lines that were never heard in a Manowar album before like on "Loki". The Kings are back in full force, and I've already booked my ticket to watch them live in Athens on April 4th \m/

I am extremely dissapointed in this. This more or less sounds like a second class Rhapsody clone.

Dude, when Manowar had sympho parts and choirs in their music, Turilli was still a toddler!

Anywayz, come to think of it, minus the bass solo's etc, all Manowar albums basically boil down to 8 songs, and that's the case here if you remove the intros and interludes.

I wrote a review for the album for The Forgotten Scroll btw, here's the link if anyone's interested http://www.forgotten-scroll.net/review. ... Asgardlord
