You should hear Elis' cover of Sabbath's "Heaven And Hell." It's awesome! It follows the same rhythm, but it's quite different from the original. It sounds like an Elis original. Very cool.

I need to get it yet too. It is a goodie! I just "Dio"ed to the word goodie!

I looked up the review of that first CD and listened the samples, and it sounds very cool, just my kind of stuff...the vocals aren't the best, I don't think, but these guys definitely know how to play. I might get this.

W.A.S.P. - The Crimson Idol, it came at a decent price and I recalled it being hailed as a classic on this site, so I figured I'd buy it.

Dissection - The Somberlain. This one I got for a friend as a birthday gift though, I already own this masterpiece.

Curious on your take on this.

Pretty solid AOR. It's not something I can listen to all the time, but it's a very good album.

Thanks I am a fan of magnum and never got around to buying this. I might get it when I am in the UK next time.

The Buddy Lackey CD is excellent! It's like the real first Dead Soul Tribe album, pretty much. There's even an early version of "Just Like A Timepiece" (later re-recorded for The January Tree) on this one. Great CD.

Gogmagog was a project that featured former Iron Maiden members Paul Di'Anno and Clive Burr, former White Spirit and then future (now current) Iron Maiden guitarist Janick Gers, former Def Leppard guitarist Pete Willis, and former Whitesnake and Black Sabbath, and Badlands bassist Neil Murray.

How is that Angra?

Good, but kind of mellow, more orchestral than I expected. There is a pretty kickass cover of "Painkiller," though.

Today I bought Tyr - Ragnarok (with the bonus tracks which I wanted to hear but was too lazy to download) and Within Temptation - The Silent Force tour edition (2DVD's + 1 CD).
