Hit for me. Their only weak album was Mezmerize, I really don't like B.Y.O.B. Everything else is great though.

I say Hit, just because of Toxicity...theirnew stuff is pretty much annoying shit, and I haven't heard much of their old stuff, but Toxicity is definitely a good listen.

Hit. They have some WTF moments, but I find most of their songs to be at least quite enjoyable.

I already posted a poll on this band almost a year and a half ago. But anyway...

I'm sort of borderline with SOAD. Toxicity was a great album. I'm not going to deny it. Mesmerize, on the other hand, really didn't grab me as much. It just sounded too much like SOAD was deliberately trying to evolve just for the sake of evolving, and because of that, the album had a very tired sound compared to its predecessor. Hypnotize I haven't really heard yet. How does it compare?

Hypnotize is really a lot like Mezmerize. And they really changed little except in the vocal department. Daron is simply a different kind of vocalist, and his lyrics and melodies are not as poetic or interesting as Serj's. But I still love those two albums. They grew on me big time, after the initial shock of Daron's very different vocal approach and tone.

Sej is quite an annoying vocalist. He even ruins the song he did with Tony Iommi.

Pffft! Best song on that CD. Easily the most Sabbath-sounding as well.

I'm partial to Just Say No to Love with Pete personally. Or the one where Billy Idol cusses like a sailor.

You knows there's few things on earth more entertaining than being in a rock club when a SOAD song comes on, and all the students start busting moves and singing along with all their hearts because this stuff is just so important.

If you mean closed minded as "doesn't listen to shitty boring hippie crap" then both. Let's not get into a stupid political discussion here ok?
