Basically, what makes you a productive/potentially productive member of society?
If you go to school, what are you taking? If you work, what do you do?

For myself, I go to UBC and major in philosophy.

I go to High School. :]

I need community service hours for a scholarship, so over the summer, I'm gonna volunteer at an animal shelter.

I iz studiying teh bes da edjumacatorz. When I'm not doing that I get by as a nightfill supervisor at a grocery store (living the dream).

I'm wasting my time writing articles like this for boring journals. I'm a co-author in that one. And yes, I'm a molecular biologist / geneticist looking for a job... I do other stuff as well but they are unimportant (like writing music, taking photographs etc etc and shit like that)

(i work at a video store that loses lots of moneys. then I give the moneys I make and give it to hippies who give me coffee or t-shirts or tasty organic food in return... or indie kids who give me CDs)

Seriously, I go to school. I am taking a break because I just moved.

Funny story: I drove down to my old house (Which is still mine until march 1st) to get the last few things and I got there and the snow was up to my crotch. I had to make my own path to the front door, where I proceeded to try and unlock my front door which was frozen. I had no lock de-icer so I was locked out. Then I dropped my keys in the crotch deep snow and lost them. Im so fucked. So Im heading back down there again tomorrow and hoping I find my keys and get into my house.

I sell cocaine to some mexican kids down the block.

Other than that I don't do much except go to school.

I finished College like a year ago, then went to work on a steeler, quit about 4 months ago in order to get time for finishing my thesis wich should be done by April i hope, i just signed for a post grade curse wich should be start at the end of this month, ive been living from the money i saved from working on the steeler and from the occasional help i provide at my familys ammo store, plus teaching math to highschool kids.

To be blunt and honest...

I'm an officer of HM Revenue & Customs here in the UK (hence the 'I run the Uk' bollocks in my profile). However, due to cut backs and the fact that the UK is in worse shape than what is told to the public by the media, I've been given the boot and may well be jobless after the end of March (a week after my birthday, yippee ).

I am at University doing an MA qualification in International Politics, "majoring" in political economy and development. Just about to start my dissertation which will be on how labour movements/trade unions fit into globalization. When I finish my ultimate goal is to wangle an internship or apprenticeship in some branch of the ILO or something similar. If that doesn't work out I shall probably arse about doing sod all, or pick up my saxophone again and try to be come an itinerant minstrel.

I am studying Chemistry in the university of Pisa.

I have a bachelors degree in computer science[specialized in realtime
programming] and I work with IT at a bank in Sweden. (Yes, I am
in your bank, stealing all your moneys)

I work with a bank too. Actually at a bank. Plus I'm married... so... yeah I don't do much except work out and work.

In My first year of a modern music degree in guitar and soon to be a rock star

I go to high school and I am highly interested in pursuing Biology when it's over.

I don't have a job, although I need one.

So, really I give absolutely nothing back to society to make a productive member.

EDIT: what the heck am I talking about. I volunteer at a hospital in the children's ward. So scratch the last line. ha.

I'm in CEGEP, Quebec's intermediary between high school and university. I'm in Liberal Arts. Next year, I should be going into Classics with a minor in philosophy at some university somewhere.

I'm in my last year of school. It's a bit of a panic, so to calm myself I assume my life will end after the summer. The big wide world scares me too much.

I'm studying mechanical engeneering, I make some money teaching highschool girls how to do maths and I handle foreign emails and eBay trading for a garage specialized in Mazda's rotation engines and the cars they fit in.

i'm studying management at ISEG-UTL, and next year i'll choose the subjects from the Finance concentration.

sometimes i help out at the office (my family runs an import/export business) and hopefully i'll land an internship at a bank this summer.

I'm moving from one shitty call centre job to another this_very_Monday. Also I have an Honours degree in Social Sciences.
