Hahaha, that's fucking awesome!

I feel pretty good. I managed to sleep off my hangover.

Hah, I avoided getting drunk last night. Had to, or 3 of my friends would be dead by now. It's hilarious running after drunk people who can hardly walk and keep on strying into the middle of the road.

strange new year's.

we go to the Cascais Marina, there are like 2000 people there, everyone's expecting some sort of countdown and fireworks display, and... NOTHING. everyone there assumed there would be some celebration there, and nothing. :/

then we headed back home and played pictionary. there were 8 people - 3 couples, plus me and this really ugly/dumb girl. obviously, they decided to have 4 teams. anyway, i got "aurora borealis" right yet couldn't figure out "sweeping". i'm awesome.

still, excellent dinner and great company (when the 3 couples weren't playing grab-ass)

Went to a party at a sort-of-friend of mine's house. Five of us got their stupidly early, when one the girls who stays there (the one I sort've know) wasn't even home. So her flatmate is sitting with three guys and a girl she doesn't know and one guy she does for quite a while before more people showed up. Well done us. She was cool though. Yeah. Then it was steady boozing, watching Only An Excuse? (a tradition in these here parts) and playing the Portrait of the Soul drinking game. Third year in a row we've played it and the first time I haven't been sick because of it. I pwn.

My friend also finally returned the Pelican cd I loaned him like 5 months ago and I woke up on the couch in the flat clutching it to my chest, like I was afraid the bastard would steal it off me again in my sleep.

A bunch of non-metalheads also got subjected to a full disc of Judas Priest and, in a less controversial move, Europe.

I worked until 10, came home, blazed, listened to some Meshuggah and Tool. Then Kelsey came home drunk and we got stoned and had sex.

I sat on the floor with my mate and my wife playing Simpsons Monopoly, while listening to Beseech. Try as I might I just could not get drunk - even with half a botle of gin under my belt. The new year came in, mate went home, and we went to sleep.

Gr. My dad is stupid. He's angry because I'm letting my sister get me a job where she works, because she doesn't want to work there anymore. I'm not responsible, apparently because of this. My siiiiiister never used connections to get a job...

If we were Italian, this wouldn't be an issue.

My parents practically insisted I get my brother a job when I worked part time in a supermarket. Then he got me the same shitty part time job twice in the call centre he worked in later.

Got a phone call from the company at which I am casual staff, asking when I was coming back after the festive period. Then they were hinting that they didn't actually want me to come back, because I haven't booked any demos for the product over the phone. But I said I would come back because I needed the money, and they said "ummm ok then but make sure you try super hard"... Actually I secretly hope I get fired because the job is monstrously boring and doesn't even cover my weekly rent... But don't tell my parents I said that, fellow MR.com forumites!

Then they were talking about how I had just walked out half an hour before the end of my last day before Christmas without telling anyone. (True, I confess) They weren't fans of me doing that but I don't feel especially bad about it in all honesty

So looks like the new year brings a new job search for me.

Aaargh a further frustrating twist in the myth is that the Inland GAYvenue overtaxed me on my last job by about £320 and I don't know how to prise this money back from their evil grasp. If I could that would mean I could go for about another month and a half without parasitically scabbing money from my parents again.

To get your money back, you start by phoning up and saying "Hey, cunts, you've got money of mine and I want to know how and when i'm going to get it back!" And use this -> as your phone face during the conversation. They will be teh ph34r.

Exactly, he's mental... He keeps asking if I went in to this restaurant, which I DID apply to... But if I was to get hired there, I'd also have connections, because my friends parents own the restaurant, and my brother works there too...

here in portugal a while ago there was a big scandal about female college students working as prostitutes, but i am yet to meet one :(

Well, I don't need money that bad yet. Just enough to pay for things here and there. I still have another year and a bit to go before post-secondary.

Haha, I used to go to uni with a girl who spread her legs for her degree. I didn't know until toward the end of the semester, which kind of made sense when she offered me a BJ as my engagement present (and no I didn't take it).
