LMFAO, Jeff Bandwhore Soto a permanent member of any band? Absolutely ridiculous. Check out his website, I'm telling you, James Rivera has nothing on this guy.

I'm hoping that this will not mean the end of Talisman.

Unfortunately, Talisman appears to be finished....

Here's a quote from JSS at his website:

The latest T-man album was discussed as our last before the Journey gig came about. Even when I was there as a 'fill- in', Talisman has basically run it's course as most of us are pursuing other areas. It's not to say we'll never address this band again or that my working relationship is done with Marcel, but as we speak today, '7' is our swan song as are the tour dates being booked through Europe after the short Journey run in the Spring."

I wish Neal Schon would just form a different band and call it something else besides Journey. There is no Journey without Steve Perry...sorry!! That's just the way it is. They're nothing without him. The material on the past two CD's have been terrible. When they released "Trial By Fire" with the famous line-up of Perry, Schon, Cain, Valory and Smith it looked like Journey had returned in top form. Then Schon and Cain piss all over Perry and here we are.......

From Augeri to Jeff Scott Soto......what a joke!!

If you can put out of your mind the fact that Arrival and Generations are Journey albums, and just listen to them at face value, they are good (but not great) albums. I can see how they are very hard to accept as Journey albums though; a name change of the band is definitely in order. I agree with you there. However, I'm sure the record label would not allow that since the Journry name certainly guarantees a certain level of sales.

Mike...you're right. I've been a Journey fan since 1981. It was really the first rock band that I was exposed to at an early age. Journey "Frontiers" was my fiirst concert. I own all of their back catalogue even prior to the arrival of Steve Perry and I enjoy all of it. I have been a die hard Journey fan for a long time so watching Neal Schon do this is just unforgivable. Everything since "Trial By Fire" is blasphemous and an abomination.

Why do bands do this? Would Led Zeppelin replace Robert Plant? Imagine Aerosmith without Steven Tyler. We've all heard Motley Crue without Vince! We've heard Iron Maiden without Bruce. Schon did his Hardline CD and it was fantastic. I still listen to it. Bad English was a very profitable expoerience for Schon and Cain. Neal just did Soul Sirkus with Soto. WHY WHY WHY DO THIS??? He has creative outlets that sound incredible.

DON'T CALL IT JOURNEY DAMN IT!!

I don't think you can even consider your self a man if you haven't fingered a girl to Wheel in the Sky or some other Journey song......

I dig Journey, always have, always will. Hell Dan Swano obviously worships them since the last Nightingale album sounded like a cross between that and REO Speedwagon.

Haha, the comment about Wheel in The Sky was funny. I was at a party recently at my friends place and I got tired of the shitty club rap that he was playing on his Ipod stereo so I threw mine on there and blasted the Journey playlist I had. When it started up the amount of panties thrown at me made me think I was Steve Perry.

Seriously though I dig em, they rock hard even if they are synonymous with your parents at the prom.
