You guys may have already talked about this and I could of missed it, but if not then I will say what I know.

The new album will be called The Inner Sanctum and will be out March 5, 2007. They also have a new double live DVD coming out, don't know when though...So lets discuss! I can not wait.

Saxon is pretty awesome, I wonder how they sound in the year 2007.
I, however, can wait, because I wasn't anticipating anything from them, but if it's good, it'll prolly be in my collection when it gets there. I'm not a huge Trad. Heavy Metal fan, but the good stuff seems to find it's way into my heart. And Saxon was always some of the more enjoyable stuff I delved into.

In all likelihood it's heresy to think so, but I liked Lionheart better than anything they've done since at least Crusader. The song "Witchfinder General" was probably my nicest surprise of 2004. But I always like having artists still doing just good heavy metal without any of the prefixes. Bands like U.D.O., Saxon and Wolf are great to fill that niche.

I'll certainly listen to the new album and I expect it to be good, but for me Saxon live gigs are the events I've got marked in my calender rather than new releases. They are so much better onstage, one of the best live acts around. That's not supposed to be a slight on their studio work of course (well, not the early and the new stuff anyway).
