"The good first HELLOWEEN years (with Kai Hansen) were also absolutely great; I don't reject them at all! And I think it was a good idea from Serafino (Frontiers Records) to give my songs of the past a new acoustic sound that fits me today. Because on one hand this shows that I don't reject my past; and on the other hand, it can also give some (more open and intelligent) people another perspective at those songs. And if anyone doesn't like that idea. no one forces him or her to listen to it! These new recordings will NOT AT ALL sound like HELLOWEEN or metal, so it is VERY stupid to put it the way some do. I have already started to go through some arrangements, and it's big fun; I'm really excited about it. Those early songs of mine were not so bad at all, and they work great as acoustics.

Very well said, i still think that the album would probably suck, but thats ok, im sure others will apreciate it.

I'm sure Kiske would find greater success if he simply promoted his solo material to non-metal fans. Easy listening fans would probably love it. I guess his name, however, just draws attention from the metal world.

He does have every right to re-record these songs; anyone suggesting otherwise is an idiot.

Uh, does anyone actually even listen to his solo stuff?!

It's really too bad that Kiske has condemned the whole metal community just coz of some of his own bad experiences. And THAT is a lot more wrong than what HE thinks is wrong in the metal world today.

Come on, the reaction to anything Kiske is the same everywhere. His name is mentioned, his name and music is slandered. We've all done it. I can't imagine any of us having anything good to say about those "fans" who talk trash if we were Kiske, regardless of whether or not we once sang for Helloween and continue to guest on other bands' albums. It's just human nature.
