Therion & Orchestra on Saturday. Pretty impressive, there were an 100 persons orchestra and a 70 persons choir on stage, plus 2 tenors, one soprano, one mezzo-soprano, the conductor and Therion. First, the orchestra and choir played alone a few Therion songs (Clavicula Nox sounded out of this world), then Therion came up and played some Dvorak, Verdi, Mozart, Saint Saens, Wagner with the orchestra, and afterwards they did Therion songs, with the orchestra and choir. Mats Leven only sang in two songs, but he was very nice to watch (and hear), very energetic. There were cameras, so there may be a DVD, I'm not sure. Anyway, it was an excellent opera metal night. Playlist:

The khlysti evangelist, intro
The flight of the lord of flies
Wondrous world of punt, intro
Clavicula nox
~~~~~~~~~~~
Dvorak-simfonia 9 part IV
Verdi-Il trovatore-"vedi! le fosche notturne spoglie"
Mozart-requiem-dies irae
Saint Saens-simfonia 3-"organ'
Wagner-Rienzi (fragment)/Act III"der tag ist da"(fragment) / Act V(fragment)
Wagner-Siegfried-"notung! notung! niedliches Schwert"
~~~~~~~~~~~
Blood of Kingu
Sirius B
Eternal return
Lemuria
Draconian Trilogy
Schwartsalbenheim
Siren of the woods
Via nocturna
Rise of Sodom And Gommorah
Grand Finale

Vader last night. Strong as usual.

There were some very good opening acts too, especially Taine, a really talented technical death band. They did a kick ass The Philosopher, tribute to Chuck.

I just saw Skinless and Necrophagist last night. Walked away with two Skinless CDs.

And oh yeah, as blasphemous as this is gonna sound, Necrophagist just bored the hell out of me. I had their formula figured out by the 302nd swept arpeggio. :lame:

Damn! Jurgen you went to see Reverend Bizarre?! They are one of my favorite doom metal bands. I cant believe its the end though, I can't wait for the new cd, and Peter and I think Albert are both going to have other bands though with cd's supposedly coming out. Was it just at some club you saw them at? how many people would you say were there?

A club in Hellsinki called Semifinal. One of the organizers had printed too many tickets. There were 170 people + the bands and their quests in there, and the audience capacity of the place is 150. Totally packed.

Reverend Bizarre played a great set. Albert was even more mental than usual.

Jurgen, that was the final show on the tour right? How long did Reverend play for, do you remember the setlist? that is so weird for me to hear how small that place is, I have never been to a show that small. They didnt film any of it did they?
