Look, is it a big deal? Metal bands have been known to come up with names like this for a long, long time. It makes us giggle. It's the music that matters.

I just popped in here because I was so surprised this news thread went on for so long, and I just have to say that it's really cool that a band member can go into a thread where people are taking shots st their name and have a civil conversation about it without seeming to take the stuff personally - professionalism rules!

Yeah no shit.Some band members from other bands would have gone off the deep end and started a flame war like crazy props to Phil for showing some class despite the redicule in this thread :cool:

I have absolutely zero problem with the name Fairyland, it doesn't raise any illusions of gayness in me. But that's probably coz I'm Finnish. In like England it is of course different, there they actually have fairies, but guess what, they wouldn't like Fairyland anyway! :D Anything harder than George Michael and they will turn into hairy metallians with leather boots instead of strap-ons! :P
