Now it may have already been said but I'll say it again the new Vader cd kicks some serious ass. I mean its just so good, Vader is high up there on my death metal list. (Its funny cause that list ain't that long) but this cd just reconfirms how kick ass they are.

Just because I feel like being a prick I am goanna ask the question which is better death or thrash metal because I can't decide I love them both.

For me, It's Death Metal. I like some Thrash every now and again, but Death Metal has more staying power with me.

Death because it favours progression much more than thrash does. And there's more DM bands that I like than thrash bands.

Good observation, and not just because I love death metal, more specifically tech death.I enjoy thrash, but I don't really have any bands I'm gaga over or anything, and in fact most thrashers I like are deathy thrash metal like Dew Scented and Final Breath. There are a few old schooler's I do pop in the cd player once in awhile though like Exodus and Testament, but I have to laugh when people get offended when I say that I don't like Metallica.I just don't like anything by them ever,at all, nada. From the vocals to the sloppy and repetative guitars, fairly weak drums et cetera. And to those that enjoy them so much I'm sorry, they just don't "do" it for me.

Death Metal though, wow,I could go on forever about all the things I love hehe. But I'll cut it short and just vote. And yeah,IiB is an awesome cd,I love it too!

Thrash because it fucking rules, and makes me smash my head against things. That is all.

Thrash. As most my playing is based on it \m/

But as listening goes, I enjoy power metal at least as much <3 It brings a nice contrast; sometimes I want to listen to something melodious and fast and sometimes something that just crushes everything on its path \m/

I go definitely for Death metal, I love Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and all the old school thrash and inmensely respect all those bands, but for me Death metal does a lot more, although it´s always about opinion so it really doesn´t matter.

P.S. I do not like Impressions in Blood, at all, i think it sucks, the production is the lamest I have heard in my life, everything sounds programmed and low-budget, it totally removes the heaviness from the album. Plus, lyrics suck but that´s not a reason to not like the album, and I´ve never been a big fan of Vader´s vocals but I tolerate it, I do not tolerate the sound of the album though.
I listened to Live in japan and it kicks total ass, obviously because the sound is a live environment and not a cheap programmed recording. Sincerely, i think The Realistic Sound Engine of Guitar Pro 5 sounds better than Impressions in Blood

THRASH TILL FUCKING DEATH! I love the attitude that many Thrash bands convey, the whole Fuck Off! mentality and the blistering riffs make me feel funny.

This one is easy for me. Death metal because less death metal bands slavishly follow rock music conventions than thrash bands.
