I really shouldn't comment about this one as I admit to not having heard it...

but if it's anything like TWWTG, and I've been told that it is, I would more or less have to agree with the review. Somewhat interesting for a few minutes, but quickly becoming more of the same and just tiring. ... I really like their older stuff, like Ultima Thulee, but I don't care for the "direction" they've gone since. I know a lot of people really like this stuff, but I just can't count myself among them.

Still, I should actually listen to this one before I say too much...

BTW, how come there weren't very many reviews this week?

Indeed, if it's like the other one, then I'm not going to like it. I really tried to see the good thing about the work which transforms god, but I couldn't see what was so good about it. I liked the cover art though...

"The work which transforms god" was actually one of my first "black metal" albums. It left me wonder, how could anybody possible like thiskind of crap?! :D But after a few spins i actually did learn to like most of the tracks, but nowadays i wouldn't listen to it at all. Too weird and freaky.
It's like an evil freaky clown. Evil - good! freaky clown - nooo, hate that.

This was also a let down for me, i mean it's still a solid album but it seems that they concentrated more on the ambient part than anything...
Right now my rating is a75 but ill try to listen to it again and see if something changes...

BAN is very good ambient music, try not to see it as BM. I agree that this sounds far too similar to TWWTG from what I've heard of it, and one of them is more than enough for me.

TWWTG was fine because it was the first album they did in that style. Mort is not very interesting because it is basically a less varied version of the same album. Blut Aus Nord's first two albums seem to have been the pinnacle of their career.

Yeah I dug The work a lot but I heard from other people that this album is a HUGE dissapointment. I didn't buy it yesterday based on this review and seems like it is dead on.

Try doing drugs while listening to this and you will see how beautiful it is. The other thing is that you will find most [bad] pop songs marvelous and full of genius too.

If you need drugs to dig a Metal album then it must suck.

This can't possibly suck that much. TWWTG was a masterpiece. I can't wait to hear this one.
