wow, had he said he followed any other faith he'd be safe.

this sucks. some people just won't get it, there's no use even trying. i'm beginning to think metal should avoid the mainsteam lest even more idiots get the wrong idea. those who truly like it or are interested in it will always have their sources, especially now that we have the internets (serious business).

Rock Tv had turned into shit indeed since a long time already, but I feel ashamed anyway.

This country gets more backwards by the hour, it seems, and nobody gives a shit about it, because if you live in your little bubble of ignorance (and ignorance means success around here) you're more than fine.

And to think that right 2 days ago me and a friend were seriosuly talking about moving to another European country, it seems our plans might get even more serious now. No, it's not just because a Metal show got banned from a crappy tv station, but while there are way more serious reasons to do that (massive unemployment, increasing crime rates, and last but not least, no chance to pursue our artistic interests since it's impossible to find people to form a band with around here), the increasingly intrusive intolerance towards extreme music is definitely something to worry about. Remember that where we live the laicality of the state, though stated in the constitution, is nothing but a fucking joke, and the chance of Shitaly turning into the catholic equivalent of a muslim republic, at least culture-wise, is definitely not as far-fetched as people around here like to think.

I dislike italy. Plus, we've got a major fashion influx coming in an anorexic gay teens walking around with D&G belts and fucking Gucci shirts. They're whimpy as hell... Oh oh funny story:
There's this kid at school who's from a valley (val colla), sort of a swiss farmer kid. Anyway, he constantly gets these arrogant italo-jerks teasing him, telling him what a sfigato he is... but on halloween there was this sort of party... and the kid shows up... and immediatly a bunch of jerks show up and start being their usual assholes. But while they're making insulting comments about swiss farmers and the val colla out loud, a whole bunch of swiss farmer kids from the val colla show up and encircle the jerks. So one jerk tells them to fuck off and punches one guy in the face. Then a farmer kid bshes him on the head with a bottle and punches him to ground. So this kid's lying there crying and screaming and everyone's laughing...

Welcome to America!

We haven't had a Metal TV show for almost 20 years now.

Here in Canada on Muchmoremusic we have a show called Power Hour.. its mostly just 80s hard rock/metal Def Leppard/Motley Crue/White Lion/Killer Dwarfs stuffs, but once in awhile they play something good like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Savatage, etc.. Its rare, but, its something at least.

I've never really considered TV or radio a useful way of discovering music since even if they do play metal its bands I've already heard, and even before that it was never music that I cared to listen to.

And Satanism is pretty much a joke anyways, since it basically involves taking the Bible as truth but then going against select parts of it for the purpose of being rebellious.

Having a show named "Extreme Metal" was a mistake in the first place. What else could you expect?

To me Satanism is kinda crappy and lame. Better off being and atheist.

It seems as though that guys dressing as feminine as possible is an epidemic among young males in Europe. I was recently in Sweden and Norway and in both countries, particularly Sweden, had a large share of flaming men.

Man, don't get me started...fuck, I just got myself started...Jesus Christ, words can't express my disgust for those asshats. It really is an epidemic. I believe it was Radagast that wrote "Men in pink shirts: evolution's greatest failure?" or something like that, and my response is a resounding YES!

Bret The Hitman Hart wore pink. Case closed.

Yes, the Hitman did wear pink, but he cries about the Montreal Screwjob in a womanly fashion to this very day.

If anything i like the fact we (here in canada) don't have a metal TV show, besides MTV's headbangers ball, or the other french shit they play here in quebec because i dont think they'd play the metal we want. The hour-long metal show they have here on Musicplus (french-canadian MTV) plays the occasional headbanger, but most of the time its harcore or something that veers away from the metal we know. Also one of the reasons i like metal is because it's not so open to the public as compared to pop, hip-hop or other god-forsaking type. I like how it is (some-what) underground.
