Monster Magnet!!!

I'm listening to Powertrip for the first time right now. It kicks ass! It would actually be a good album to listen to when I'm out camping since it has that summery/forest-ish sound (as does Something Wicked This Way Comes by Iced Earth). Anybody here like them? Any musical recommendations?

Yeah, I love 'em. Like most of their back catalogue but they had a few misses with me, God Says No was one of them.

Fucking LOVE this band! I don't think they had a bad album after Superjudge. Everything before Superjudge was way too spaced-out for me, nothing really memorable about most of it. It was just druggies jamming. They kind of streamlined everything on Superjudge and that album was excellent! Everything after I find to be awesome! I highly recommend them. You may even like the early stuff, it's not all worthless. It's just far less structured. I like structure.

I wonder what the deal is with them now? Ever since Dave's overdose there hasn't been a peep from anyone. Dave could have brain damage and shit. Who knows! Sorta sucks.

Yeah I know, I had tickets to se 'em in a tiny venue, would have been incredible. then the arsehole goes and OD's. Haven't heard anything since. It's not like they postponed their UK tour, they just flat out cancelled it.

Yeah, it was definitely a serious OD (as if they're not all that). But it's been about a year I'd say and not a single update. That tells me that things are really bad.

Not quite a year, more like 8 months. It was still fucking annoying finding out the tour had been cancelled about 3 days before the gig. Dumb junkie bastard.
