I just had a small breakdown on the phone with my mom. I have too much to do and not enough time, and I have to get a real job next year. The real world is a cold, uncaring and frightening place.

Fragment = literal concrete peice

Figment = notion/mental invention

Pigment = color

So yeah, figment is the word you're looking for.

I feel tired. I got home at 2:30 last night from seeing Hanzel und Gretyl (think Rammstein but more aggressive and simplistic) with a friend of mine and her boyfriend as part of my birthday celebration. The show was cool, but it was kind of funny; it was at the local goth club, so instead of my normal band shirt and pants, I got dressed up - black bodice, short skirt, fishnets, the whole bit. You could tell I wasn't a regular, though, despite the clothes; for one of the opening bands (some sort of rock/metal hybrid that was pretty good) I was throwing the horns and banging my head a little while the rest of the audience was swaying gently from side to side. Nope, not a goth, just a Hessian in a dress.

Then there was a fire drill at 3 am while I was just getting ready to get out of the shower. That was thrilling. And now it's taken me two hours to write two sentences of an anthropology paper that's due tomorrow, and I have three more pages to go. I'm reeeeeally looking forward to the weekend.

Nope, no armed services. Not only am I, in all likelihood, quite 4F, I couldn't hack it. Can't take orders, can't adhere to that kind of circadian schedule. I've known this since I was old enough to understand the concept of armed forces, really, and I've been thinking about that sort of thing of late. Nope...no armed forces for me. Hopefully this English degree will lead to something.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, though. :wink:

Hmm I have a disproportionally large number of essay words to write in a short space of time, and also I have no job and am becoming desperately poor. Plus I am poorly :sad:

So maybe it's time for me too to make a distressed call to mother.
