Deftones - White Pony

its OK I guess, the song where Maynard sings reminds me of A Perfect Circle.

Yeah, it's interesting how easily they slip from one style to the next.

36 Crazyfists - A Snow Capped Romance. I dont know why, but i find this semi-nu-metal, semi-metalcore band to be very, very good. Its got a strange sense of melody and weird hooks.

I love them. Think more Alt Rock than nu-metal, even screamo (Stefan's not here, I got away with it). Heard the new one yet?

The new one is their best yet, they've really honed their sound down and there isn't a weak track on this album for me.

36 Crazyfists - Rest Inside The Flames

Its good, but maybe a little too metalcore for my tastes. A Snow Capped Romance is just a *little* better.

The Mars Volta - Amputechture

my opinion of this album keeps fluctuating between either amazing, annoying and boring (especially the Asilos Magdalena, Meccamputechture, Viscera Eyes and El Ciervo Vulnerable). Same with the new Tool. Overall I think they're both pretty great though.

Which Mars Volta CD is the one to get? Once upon a time I had the one with The Widow on it on my MP3 player, and I liked it but mostly it was a little too extreme for me.

I'm not really sure, I'd say the best introduction to them is De-Loused in the Comatorium, since its original but doesn't have the extreme weirdness of Frances the Mute (the album you got). Their new album (Amputechture) might be good too, its their least intense album, but I don't think its as unique as their other stuff.

So yeah, go with De-Loused in the Comatorium or Amputechture...

Mare - Mare EP

very impressive sludgy stuff, I hope they release a full length because only 24 minutes of them is a crime against music :lame:

That would be the Wrestling Thread.

NP : Boom Bip - Blue Eyed In The Red Room

Extremely awesome electronica. This was one of my "£1 from Tesco" cds, and I just rediscovered it.
