Indeed a very diverse album.
Vocals remind me of Ray Alder, but with less range. Guitar playing and soloing are superb.
The differences in musical styles don“t bother me.

If you like progressive metal in the style of Redemption or Fates Warning you can blindly buy this one.

:dio:

8.5/10

I love this album! It's weird in that it has three instrumentals in a row, though. An instrumental on a prog-metal album is pretty much a requirement, hehe, but three in a row?!? That's weird.

I think this album is damn good, though. I hope a follow-up doesn't take as long as this one took to get released.

I thought this album was done well and technical and etc, but nothing about it really made me ever want to listen to it. I agree with your score, although I think for ifferent reasons since I liked how he branched away from progressive metal into other areas for full songs.

They have it for 13 bucks at that Sensory website you showed me, I may have to get it on my next CD binge near the end of the month.

I paid full price for it when I saw it in the store. It's worth it, if you ask me.

Im less nervous to buy albums I havent fully heard yet now. Im waiting on both a Savatage album and Gamma Ray's Land of The Free (for 6 bucks!) so after that I plan on getting a couple more albums (cant have to much music) and I do think this album will be on it as something new among my catching up on discographies.

I bought this album after i read Ken mention it in another thread. I think it is incredible. The whole album has a special feel to it. And the song Ergo Sum, once it really kicks in is fantastic. This shit is right up my alley and I loved it. Ask nothing of me is one of the best songs, in this genre, that I have heard in a while.

New demo track posted online. It's not much, just weird music. Apparently they've just recorded a new EP entitled Cleanse.

Brand new 7" is available for purchase. Limited to 200 copies. $7 (incl. S&H). Can't beat it. Not sure about the style, though. The sample sounds more electronic, but it's short. There is a message on their MySpace page that basically says the 7" isn't a reflection of the last album, but the next. So I'd expect something different, I guess.

I just bought a copy, so I guess I'll find out God-knows-when. I don't own a record player, and haven't for about 10 years.

Why do I buy vinyl...all the time?
