IMO probably one of the best bands ever - 40 years into their career and still making great, original music. I don't think any other band on the planet can claim that. Also their instrumentals kick insane amount of ass and practically invented/perfected the amth rock genre...

...but the only stuff of theirs I really like is the double live disc Vrooom Vrooom and The Power to Believe. Thrak is pretty good but every song on it is on Vrooom Vrooom, and its much better live. The double trio pwns you.

I dunno just talk about king crimson, call me a fag, whatever, i'm bored :(

I heard some samples off of an album called Three Of A Perfect Pair, I believe, and they were really fucking good. I've gotta check them out.

KC's first album was in 1969 and it is still early for our era.

Starless and Bible Black is also a kickass KC album, though it is sometimes overshadowed by the other albums from that version of King Crimson (Red, Larks Tongues).

The Red, Larks Tongue, and Starless trio is their most productive period. I really love their debut album too, In the Court of the Crimson King, but that's as much psyschedeila as prog. I find their 80s albums not so good though.

Indeed. Fracture is such a killer song. One of my favourite 'I'll just listen to a single song'-picks actually. Larks' Tongues... is still my favourite King Crimson album though.
