They played that when I saw 'em yesterday. I've got high hopes for the new album.

The singer sounds like a muppet on ocassion, but how anyone can't like this band is beyond me! They rule.

Have any of you heard Battlecry Under A Winter Sun? Not very good. Hahaha. It's actually cool, but kind of sounds like shit. In fact, it does sound like shit. They have two early singles with unreleased tunes on them, too.

Speeeeeeed Metal!!! Are we in Germany in 1987? :D

Battlecry Under a Winter Sun is a good album, but the microbudget production does is no favours. It also took them to the next album to remember just how cool guitar solos are.

Yes. I might actually prefer it to "Advance..." but that's probably just because I heard it first. 3IoB kvltser since 2003. :) the original version of Destroy the Orcs is better, and both Ride, Darkhorse Ride and Balls of Ice utterly kill and destroy.

Meh... not bad, but I bet the new album'll be full of similar-sounding songs.

No. My problem with A & V was that All The Songs Sounded Exactly The Same. Barely any hooks.

Hmmm...I find the album hard to listen to in big doses, like on repeated spins, but I never found the songs to sound the same or lack catchy choruses. This band I could see being hard for some people to dig, though.

Can you see the hardcore influences there? Most debates seem to degenerate into that...

Uh...not really musically, but the harsh vocals definitely come from a hardcore angle.

There's one track that starts out really noisecore. I thought it was Converge at first, weird. Can't remember the name, it;s been a while since I played it.

I like the music, but I can not tolerate hardcore vocals, so that ruins the whole thing for me. If they would ditch that loser and keep the Halford impersonater(joke), I'd be cool with it.

No, let them keep him. He makes the Halford/UDO guy shine more.
