Well metalhead now this is what you should understand, Black Metal is nothing that can be compared to other genres. It' much more than just a part of metal music. It' a philosopy , it's much deeper than you would understand yet. I don't think that anyone who isn't into BM would truely understand the feeling that Black Metallers get while listening to it cause all those other genres don't make you feel anything at all.

I don't agree here. I can have a total ecstasy while listening to later Ulver or Beethoven or Lacrimosa or Radiohead (I'm currently having one from Ok Computer) or any other non-BM band and I'm really into BM. Each genre has it's own "feeling" - yes, and maybe BM has the best "feeling", but don't say other genres are hollow.

I think other BMheads will agree.

Maybe I should have said IMO because none of the other music types has ever done it for me. I'm sure Radiohead is great to you but I think it's just great but that's my opinion.

i thought that you used to be into thrash?[/quote]

Yeah I did because I tought it was cool but when I discovered Black Metal it was like finding a new world full of things that amaze me. You should try it sometime.

I guess it doesn't work on everybody... I tried BM and thought (with very few exceptions) it was shit... still, I respect your passion for it...

Who of us? I love thrash too: Venom (well, it's not thrash or black, raw heavy-punk, but...), Destruction, Kreator, Sodom, Slayer, BM-TM acts, some Tankard, etc...

P.S. Guys you can use the quote button on top of each post to quote without mistakes (no offence).

what the fuck are you doing on these forums ? why don't you go create some BM Reviews website where you could enjoy BM & BM only with BMHeads only and no one to contradict you ?

UHH... because it is the Death, Black and Thrash Lich Lord forum...
You don't see us trolling the other forums do you?
Contradiction is not a bad thing, but being a rude insulting cunt (as Daniel would say) is; you can't see that?

Yes, it is quite easy to find because it was re-released through Century Media (Century Black).

First of all Emokid; you KNOW I listen to loads of different genres (including your loved Emo) so don't tell me I only enjoy BM.

Second, I can speak my mind as I always do; and I firmly believe that BM is the purest most amazing art in the world, that gives you no right to say that I should leave.

And I said WiC is a cunt because he speaks without knowing shit. Example: BM only for MONEY?!?!?! I mean, just read my example for Hellhammer and then we'll see.

I see nothing wrong on expressing my pride for Black Metal, and I will always do; so, once again, we prove that BM aficionados are the proudest of them all! Is taht wrong? Specialy when I respect and enjoy (a lot) other genres? I don't think so.

Black Metal 'till death.

Daniel, you know I didn't think of you writing this...

but it's becoming very annoying that no one can bash BM without being assaulted by all the BM heads around...

and I know they're not doing it for money but same goes with almost every musician playing metal... if metal was a good way to make money then Britney & Robbie Williams will play metal... since it's not going to happen...

no, Daniel, my main problem is BM Head don't give the music I love the respect I give to BM even though I don't particulary enjoy it...

to me they pretty much all sound like arrogant stubborn assholes and I don't like it (so I wish I am wrong but I'm starting to seriously doubt it...)

Whoa, hold on a minute buddy. NOBODY bashed anything until that asshole WIC started bashing on BM, I suggest that you backtrack these threads...
now, you saying that you don't like it, cool, I respect that, but when you start throwing insults around, that is another story, NOBODY here said thrash was immature or sucked etc.... and youre goddamn right when someone defiles something that is held in such high esteem as BM to us, we will pounce... you don't like it, well, what can I say?
BTW I respect most music if it is honest and sincere and created for the sake of music.
V.

what do you expect when you post something like this:
Quote:
Don;t get me wrong, Thrash is cool (Destruction, Sodom, Kreator etc,) but it is a device of humans, and so confined to human spheres... Black Metal is a tapping of the occult forces that are hidden (mostly) from men; whether anthems of power for dark kings (Judas Iscariot-Heaven in Flames, Emperor-In The Nightside Eclipse, Satyricon-DMT, Shadowthrone) or a transcendence from the material world of the mundane (Xasthur, Leviathan, Nachtmystium, Black Funeral) or straight up misanthropic onslaught (Darkthrone, Mutiilation, Vlad Tepes, Maniac Butcher, Tsjuder, Dark Funeral, Mayhem) or the aural equivalent of disembodied souls unleashed to haunt the gloomy night (Gehenna) or folk inspired, pagan, NSBM (Nokturnal Mortum, Graveland, Drudkh)... not to mention Ulver, who are some of all of those mentioned above.
As you can see Black Metal is not only diverse, but transcends the realm of mere mortals.
While caught in a Black Metal trance, it is like an astral experience, a taste of immortality, a glimpse into a world between worlds.
Those of you that are into this genre will know exactly of what I speak.
Many Hails!

Maybe you should try downloading some stuff first. Maybe this album won't do it for you and Mayhem - De Mysteriis Dom Satanas will...
