So the other day I thought, lots of fascist bands, why do I never hear about Communist ones? So I looked on Archives, and found:
Agony BM, very little info.
Noism Japanese Brutal Death, again, very little info.

So why aren't more bands based around it? There's LOADS of fascisti, but no heroic Leninists? (Disiplin have gone NS  )

I don't know if they're actually communist, but Mortuary Drape are openly anti-fascist.

Do check them out, the best black metal to come out of Italy, ever!

A lot of death and thrash bands are very leftist.

Well, Barney Greenway does lean that way. I hear a lot of socialist content in Napalm death's lyrics.

Yeah, grindcore (just like all punk-based stuff) is usually very leftist. But grindcore is not metal, so... :P

No, you guys are missing the point. Sure, there's lots of left-leaning bands around, but where are the actual Communists??? When you think how many fascist (not Conservative) bands there are, doesn't it seem odd?

No. The aesthetics of (extreme) metal go well hand in hand with fascist ideals.

Eh? You can sing about what you want, there are as many socially-concerned Death/grind/etc bands as there are ones about gore.

I'm not denying that. Just saying that fascist (far left as much as far right, Euronymous anyone?) ideology fits well in the same formula as the themes of death and black metal (death, brutality and other evil stuff). There are exceptions, of course (the dudes from Carcass are vegan and left-wing, for example).

Fascism is angry and full of hate. That works for some metallers.

Socialism, even if ill-concieved, is really about compassion and equallity.

So, we should be seeing some slow and mournful commie forest BM, no?

Maybe I've found my calling. :D

There probably are, but they probably just don't openly state their viewpoints.

I know, it was strange. They were always one of the weirder bands, their interviews are so OTT, Jon Nodvelt looks normal in comparison.

At the bottom, there. DISIPLIN SUPPORTS RESISTANCE!

You'll always find more right wing politics in metal, especially the extreme variants. I don't agree with it but it's the sad truth. Left wing slants have always been more suited to punk and indie. I think RATM was the closest thing to a far left wing metal band but even they were rap metal.

There's loads of left wing bands around, just no extreme left wing ones (communist and its ilk) I can think of in metal.
