A joke:
A man opens his apartment door and sees a snail in front of him. The man picks up the snail and throws it across the hallway(obviously in bad temperament).
Three years later, the man opens the door to find the same snail in front of the door.

The invisible man is getting really sick of being invisible. He's
forever dodging being run over and having people push in front of him

a million, they're sure to make you appear."

Only because of the capitalist goverment that was set up by the traitor Stalin. Were Trotsky to have taken power instead, as Comrade Lenin wished, then the world would be that much closer to the ideal condition of communism (your example refering to the dictatorships set up to promote that plane of existence).

You do realize that even China of all places now has rudimentary free markets right? You know why? Because communism doesn't work. It's still a many serve the few system. But, instead of Capitalism, one guy reaps all of the benefits, while the common man STILL suffers. It's a good idea, but it doesn't work in reality. It will always devolve into a dictatorship, as it always does.

Lenin's last testament explicitly said he wanted Stalin out of power, and I think we'd all agree that the world would have been better off without him. The power struggle after Lenin was a fascinating and saddening event. Zinoviev and Kamenev(both excuted during Stalin's 30s purges) both underestimated Stalin's ambition, and therefore they formed a troika to block Trotsky's accession to power. With Trotsky weakened Stalin was able to emerge from the troika in charge, and by now (26-27) all opposition was unable to overcome Stalin. I'm not so sure Trotsky would have led the Soviets to the promised land, but he couldn't have done worse.

There has never been a proper Communist goverment. It's always been dictatorships set up to achieve that state, as I said. When men come who are beyond the curse of greed, then our dream will become reality.

Sorry, missed this. Yes, it's very interesting, not least because it does lead to an ideal society. The fact that so much harm has been done in its name is sad. Not to mention poor old Trotsky getting an ice pick in his head. :shock:

So I get a customer yesterday, when we get to the veggie section, she mumbles into the glass "Lettuce.. ayo.. sjhdjhd" I thought I heard Mayo, so I put Mayo on it and the convo goes like this:

Dumbass: What kind of sauce is that?
Me: Its Mayo
Dumbass: I didnt ask for Mayo, I said Tomato.
Me: Oh, ok, sorry about that.

So then I wipe the sauce off the sub and put tomatoes on it, then ask:

Me: Ok, so what kind of sauce would you like.
Dumbass: Mayo.
