I'm not sure if any of you have ever heard of this band, but Sam Black Church are one of the most unique bands I've ever heard so I'm passing the torch. They're easily one of the best bands to ever come out of Massachusetts. Their live shows were fucking ridiculous (see the insane pictures below  )! Out of control! They played a very unique form of metal, not even sure what you'd call it. It was traditional metal, thrash, hardcore, lo-fi dirge metal or something, very odd. They also sported one of the most unique singers ever, Jet was his name. Very unique, like Serj from System Of A Down meets Mike Patton on acid (listen to "Formaldehead" on the MySpace page for a good example).
Anyway, sadly they broke up a while back, but you can still listen to some tracks of their's around the net. "Locked Unit '98" is a re-recording of an old song, it was released on the best of/rarities album, For We Are Many. Give it a chance, they're different. The sound of this song was their sound, very demo-like, but sonically killer. If you're thrown off by the song at first let it play through and eventually it should click. You may love it from the get-go. It's a great tune, but admittedly not their best (I can't find shit else on them out there).

The reason why I started this thread is because I just got Jet's new band's CD. The band is called Jetfuel. I haven't actually listened to the CD yet because I just got it, but the samples on the site are pretty kick ass. Not all that different from Sam Black Church, probably because Ben from Sam Black Church is also in the band. Anyway, check out these tracks below, especially "Hades County Line" on the MySpace page. It's awesome, very thrashy.
