I think it's fucking disgusting that Varg is in prison when he has the (admittedly rather suspect) self-defence excuse, whilst Nodveldt and Faust walk about free after murdering people. Especially Faust. People give that creepy fuck too much respect.

His attack was not planned (as far as anyone knows), could be argued it was self-defence, and was no more brutal than faust stabbing a gay dude randomly in a park.

Thats almost MORE freaky than what Varg did. As i understand it, Varg killed Euronymous in the heat of the moment, he didnt lead him away into the bushes or whatever and STAB HIM 37 TIMES! Faust is fucked up.

Though no one will ever know if Euronymous had really planned to kill Varg, or if Varg went to Euronymous' house for money or intently to kill him. Or, whether Euronymous actually did run inside for a knife and Varg killed him in self-defence.

From what Varg has said, it always sounded to me as if Euronymous was legging it because there was a nutter with a knife after him. He only ran after he was stabbed the first time, if I recall correctly. It's on Varg's website...

Yeah, ive read all that stuff. Varg says he panicked, kicked him and ran inside. He says he had no intention to kill him until he ran inside, where Varg believed he had Dead's shotgun and obviously had kitchen knives. I think Varg had stabbed him once in the chest after he kicked him.

But then Varg chased him down the stairs stabbing his shoulder because he was angry Euronymous ran away like a wimp :roll: Silly Varg.

I always felt kind of sorry for Oystein. Wasn't there some conspiracy theory that said he was secretly gay and Varg was trying to outdo Faust?

Never heard that one. I know Varg thought Euronymous had a plan to tie him to a tree in the forest and torture him to death and video it to show the world he was the king of black metal.

It's interesting to see where these guys are now and what they're doing and saying. Sometimes, I think people forget how young these guys were when some of this shit was going on. Bringing back old articles and interviews without comparing them to what they're saying today is probably a pretty erroneous way to draw conclusions about them.
