Grooving Retro Trippy Stoner Rock

Get it right, noob!

Look, its a mishmash of Zep, Deep Purple, Sabbath and trippy stoner rock. Its a fun listen. Nothing too groundbreaking but great in its simplicity.
I give it an 80. Minds Eye is worth the purchase price.

Bah! All my 'alternative' loving friends like this.... :roll: so ive heard most of it, but dont own it. Alright, but nothing near the hype.

but, again!, the band has nothing to do with the hype... I think they're good lads who worked their thing reheasing like crazy and doing bar shows... just let'em be for what they are, a fine retro hard rock act...

There are some bad, bad people in the world... fotunately none of them post here. But watch out... you never know when you could be talking to a Jet fan.

I posted this before, but in a thread nobody entered because I hadn't noticed there was already one about the band. Actually I was determined to dislike them after reading this article...

Seriously Jet piss me off. Its like they know they are cool, and write music with this conscoius knowledge of their 'awesomeness'. I hate wankers like that.

Why not just listen to the originals instead of throwback bands that just rip the classic stuff off?

I'd never heard of jet until this thread, and by the sound of it thats a good thing.

Pretentious mainstream 'dirty' rock and roll. With a shit singer who sounds so up himself when he sings i scream at the radio or tv.

They were getting loads of airplay a while back, you've probably heard them. "Ah said uh are you gonna be my girl?"

So possibly a brilliant album. Gotta check them out.

It's a very good thing, as Jet are shit. They are the quintessential "band without an identity". Every single they have is a rip off of someone else's style.

Cold Hard Bitch - AC/DC rip off
Look What You've Done - Oasis/Beatles rip off

You know I heard this whole thing and I wasnt impressed at all. I kept hearing people liken them to Thin Lizzy, and its very minimal. There is a band from Detroit called Wolfbait that is much much better. I suggest you all check out their myspace page.

My aunt likes Jet. She was recently excommunicated from the family.

Jet are like party music, good for background music at a party, but not something you could really rock out to.
