I wouldn't pay attention to JeffMH, Kaathaarian. He is the guy that gave Si Momentum Requires, Circumspice and Kenose scores of "0".

I agree Opeth don't wank - they just write a 4-minute loud song and a 4-minute soft song and splice the two together at one minute intervals.[/cynic]

How in God's name does Opeth... most of the bands you guys listen to "wank" more than Opeth. Bah.

Not really a big fan of Portney ever since I grew out of Dream Theater. But I love Opeth and Bloodbath... so we'll see how this turns out.

well you've deffinitely got a point with 'ghost reveries'. it was never close to any of their older material. what caught my attention about opeth was 'still life' in fact. to me it's their best so far. and rite now i'm comparing everything they have wit Still Life. apparently GR never came close. but i still think they're a pretty decent band, contrary from the many opeth-haters here. haha! but we all have different tastes i guess.

Opeth is really not that bad, it's not very good, but that's just my personal taste. They are a progressive band which I can appreciate. It's just that I like to hate something with a passion ;)
