Coprofago sounds pretty progressive to me. Sounds like a much more jazzy Meshuggah with a lot more melody.

The only thing "progressive" they've done is Catch 33. Besides that, they are just an excellent tech death band with a pretty unique sound.

Not really, it was just a really long tech death song.

Yeah, and it was easily the best thing they ever released.

I'll say Akercocke in spite of everyone here hating them as far as I can remember. I still say they are easily one of the best progressive extreme bands around. Red Harvest might also be considered, though not typically "prog" if you're just looking for neoproggery. Gonin-ish, from Japan, is definitely something to check out though it certainly isn't for everyone.

If you really like Opeth there's always Farmakon, but I can't say anything for the quality myself.

I throw my hat into the ring of Akercocke love as well.

Words That Go Unspoken, Deeds That Go Undone is a fantastic album.

I am one of those Akercocke haters, but I haven't heard words that go unspoken... yet, I might change my idea.

edit: Ok, now I heard it. First listen went in complete amazement. They seem to have dropped the pathetic black act and got their shit together, this suits them much better. This album is great so far, I dunno if it will bore me later though.
