Blind Guardian - Fly (CD Single)

The sticker on the single says "Featuring 3 Exclusive Tracks!" I'm not sure what that's about unless "Fly" is going to be different on the album. I hate when douchebag labels pull this shit!

I think that belongs in the Death/Black/Thrash forum actually.

I think the vocals are so far from black and death that regardless of their viking influence they shouldn't be put in the death and black forum, but its also not power metal. I'd call it progressive folk/viking metal! So may it should go in alt-metal and boarderline genres? Or because its proggy it could go in here? I don't know!!!

It's epic metal. It belongs here. I think NESS had them mistaken, unless he's slipping.

I'd still put them in the Death forum simply b/c they are Viking metal. Then again, I put Bodom here b/c they are aggressive power metal. Damn borderlines.

Ah, but viking is a subject matter, not a genre label no matter how much people throw that in there. They're epic metal, the lyrical content is folklore.

I got an album called "The Charge" by some wee band called Savallion Dawn. In Generica Musicus. :|

Also:
Rhapsody - Symphony of Enchanted Lands (I'll never listen to it, but I might as well complete the set)
Sonata Arctica - Successor
Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow (about bloody time I replaced the CDR)
Attica Rage - In Concert With the Mirror EP (tidy local Metal)

Thoughts to follow if I ever find the time to listen to an album again.

Great album.

RP: Iron Maiden - Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son

I like how every PM CD I look at is well out of my reach. £13 for Iced Earth?! £14 for Kamelot?!!! £16 for Edguy?!!!!! Bloody £17 for Strato's s/t?!!!!!!!!

Yeah, right.
