it's a nice live act... they have good songs (enough to fill a cdr) but no really great album imo... saw them once, did an interview too... cool chaps but the singer wears clogs which somehow disturbed me... :?
also, best song by Sepultura is their cover of NMA on Chaos AD

I prefer the Levelers, folkier and a punker energy... 8)

NP
Steve Coleman "Genesis & The Opening of the Way"
(needed a break from doom, but right after this baby i'm back with Light ? "Mirrors", have you heard of it ?)

Ah, there are several times I could have seen them live, too, they're quite local. I'm quite enjoying this album though :D

as for Light? I think I dismissed the album because it featured some lame death parts.. maybe I was too harsh though, check it out

Dee, you were right.. Light? sucks and it's not because of lame death parts (there are SOME but it's not the worse that happens). my problem is with the Pink Floyd influence mixed with neo-prog keyboard sounds and average soundwriting... I'll play the full anyway but, so far, the best I would give it would be a 30/100

NP
Light? "Mirrors"
UP NEXT
Aaen Anima "Works"

you're probably right. neo-prog pisses me off in most situations.. I can only count three bands I forgive for it.

sorry I forgot to send you that Boris album, what else did you want? :P

np: Locanda delle Fata - Forse Le Lucciole Non Si Amano Più

this is kinda disappointing because the page on progarchives was full of people declaring this to be their favourite album of all time. it's good, but not awesome. I prefer the other italian symphonic prog band with Locanda in their name. 8)

It is Tango minus metrics, rhythm, melody and harmonics. Late Cage is nothing but sound and silence.

NP: Nothing. I'm at work :(

You're at work, therefore the sounds/music you are hearing is governed totally by chance, and the environment around you, thereby removing any authority that you- the composer- has over said music.

Very Cage :P

Italian progressive rock is so amazing, my god. I can only wonder at all the bands in this style I haven't even heard of yet. *drooool*

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Greatest Hits

The greatest songs from one of the greatest bands, on one disc. To fit every great Chili peppers song in a greatest hits collection it'd have to be a 4 disc set or something.

actually I'm downloading Arbeit Macht Frei right now, amongst other, nastier things - mostly noise and grind along with a little forest metal. Piracy! :P

are you familiar with Banco del Mutuo Soccorso? another fine italian symphonic band.

yeah, they have their moments but they're not as good as Baletto di Bronzo or The New Trolls

yeah. they're certainly more complex though. I'm actually hoping there's an italian version of Gentle Giant because everything I've heard has sort of been a wall of sound like early King Crimson or whatever.

next ones I'm checking out are the aforementioned Area and then Museo Rosenbach. (Alusa Fallax sucked.) viva italia.
