I don't give a shit that Jo-Anne Bench is a woman. I just like her basswork. She's been with the band since the beginning, and their music has always been tight.

What do you guys/gals think about her talents?

Bolt Thrower needs more discussion. This band is god.

BT is totally awesome. And I never know the bassist of the bands I am a fan of but I do know Jo and I know she kicks major ass.

"She sounds like a swarm of tanks." Not my quote. But, I feel it's valid.

I neither love nor hate this band. Must say they create some fantastic music though. And yeah, the bass work is brilliant.

you also have to consider she's been in BT since 1987 that tells you how old she can be now (around 40's my guess)

Yeah, she's always been the bassist. Which is alot to say about any bandmate who's been around for 20 years.

I really consider her the glue of the band, both musically, and historically. Edit: Well, her and the guitar combo, musically. You really can discount how well they always have gone together.

Look elsewhere if you want that. Bolt Thrower = slow & groovy and that's how the fans like it.

You've obviously been blind to their grind period.

No, I've got everything of theirs but slow and groovy bolt thrower is what they made them bolt thrower as everyone knows today.

It's notable if you're a big fan of the band. In Battle there is no Law is another side of these legends, and it's pretty interesting. Jo was there for that, so the bass is solid, and I suggest people swallow this release, even if it's hard to at first, because... well, another side of BT, what more could you want. They have the status to deserve a shot.
