I like Nocturnal Rites pretty much. I enjoy both bands: the one with Anders and this one with Johnny.
I've found that many people disagree with my points of view about NOC, I don't know. But there are bands which simply grab you with no particular reason. I think this is the case.

The same happens with Blind Guardian and Dream Theater. I think these 3 bands are superb. :D

I reckon your reckoning is wrong b/c Afterlife owns everything post Sacred Talisman. And Sacred Talisman owns the majority of power metal.

Actually I gave The Grand Illusion one listen and put it on the shelf. I should give that slut another spin.
