Agnosis - Zero

sort of like a simplistic Melvins with crappy hardcore/thrash lyrics. those work elsewhere but not in stoner rock. sigh

np: Church of Misery - Early Works Compilation

a torrent brought this shining ray of dooooom into my life. thank you torrent.

I'm pretty sure I've already mentioned these guys anyway but if not.. stoner doom from Japan with zero adulteration (j'accuse High on Fire).. they play the riffs exactly as many times as you'd expect, and then twice more.

and Japanese voices all seem naturally doomy even before they pick EXACTLY THE RIGHT PSYCHEDELIC FILTER TO USE. \m/

edit: this has St. Vitus and Paul Chain covers, and probably a few more. 8)

*confused* .. a stoner doom band with a good female singer AND a good drummer! I didn't think this was possible

Try this. it's all just riffs but you guessed that

np: Jesu - Silver EP

it opens with the talentless indie chord sequence that pisses me off most, but Jesu seem to manage to be happy and non-irritating no matter what they do. it still reminds me of Embrace though, ugh. UGH.

np: Sahg - Promo 2006

I'd been putting this off because I mistakenly thought it was dark-doom like Deinonychus, which can be really hard to listen to.

but.. it's stoner doom, some of the best I've heard! I'll review this! afeigel, stefan, have you heard this?
