I've got to say, Safe Home by Anthrax is pretty far from being a great song, but the solo is excellent.

You're just sayin that because you're hot for Pearl Loaf!

Err, Pearl Ian I guess now.

Actually, I've never seen her, so she could very well be hot. Or just a chick version of Meat Loaf.

I'm so confused...

Of all the solos on Over-Nite Sensation, i like the one in Fifty-Fifty best. Fucking crazy. The organ solo is really cool (in a cheesy way) too.

Thats a great solo actually, but the one in montana is my favourite since i feel it comes out of nowhere, but i agree about fifty fifty being an awesome song, so is Zombie Woof.

Lame attempt by me as a joke. Pearl is Scott Ian's wife. She is also Meat Loaf's daughter. Scott wrote the song about/for her. Understand now?

Shite song though.

"My whole world has moved on." Yuck.

Ah, now I see. And having examined the evidence, she would indeed get it.

I'd say one of the greatest I've ever heard is in Nile's Unas Slayer of the Gods; and also others in Gov't Mule songs.

Nile has some amazing solo work in their albums, but as expected I am quite partial to them.

My most favorite solo would probably go to Necrophagist~Onset Of Putrefaction~Fermented Offal Discharge. The solo is mindblowing!I love everything about it and then some.Very memorable for me.

But I love solo's in general, and when a band doesn't have even one in their album I tend to steer clear unless there is enough there to keep me interested.

I usually don't care much for solos, apart from Symphony X ones(mainly their keyboard/guitar solo battles).

Comfortably. Numb.

However, inside your list, I have to say Through The Fire And The Flames.
