Yep, 2 new threads by me. I've seen Considered Dead / The Erosion Of Sanity on one disc and heard great things, so what are they like?

Those two cds are more old-school death with some technical parts , From Wisdom To Hate and Obscura are two awesome technical death metal albums that you'll either love or hate.

i have mixed feelings about Obscura, its the only Gorguts cd i've listened to, and i must admit they are probably the most technical death metal band out there, but its def not an easy listen IMO

I'd give that title to Spastic Ink, Dillinger Escape Plan, Spiral Architect or Necrophagist personally :P

DEP aren't Death metal, but I know what you mean. They're pretty close to the top, though, Gorguts are.

I've heard Hideous Infirmity off Erosion of Sanity and...I'm not interested really.

Yeah, I was referring to Noodless assertion. I'm sure he put the word "death" in his original statement by accident.

I am beginning to reconsider the first two albums.. I have listened to Erosion of Sanity for 3 times again and well my mind changed a lot.. (in a positive way)
I still think Obscura is probably one the most technical death metal albums ever recorded with:

PAVOR-Furioso
Necrophagist-Onset of Putrefaction
Demilich-Nesphite
Martyr-Hopeless Hope
Psycroptic-The Scepter Of The Ancients
Death-Symbolic
Death-Individual Thought Patterns
Death-The Sound Of Perseverance
Six Feet Under-Amerika The Brutal

hihi

You should... Erosion of Sanity, at least. That's their second best album, and only BY A HAIR behind Obscura.

Necrophagist flows quite nice. they have alot more structure in their songs. I don't think dillinger is that chaotic, they have choruses, the vocals keep them in check IMO
