I'm not rushing to Zad's defense here but he's right, people ignore band recommendations if you don't make a big deal about it. Hey, I've heard something I like and I know other people will like it, what do I have to do ? Become a reviewer ?

Of course they do. But I'm sure some people listen, they just choose not to discuss it. We can't all be Zad and go:

"This is good. Check out [ insert link to one of Zad's recommendation threads ]!"

Hahahaha. Seriously, check out my Stoner Rock thread for a thread people ignored. I kept updating it with new bands, no one cared. I posted 18 replies in that thread, there were 8 replies not by me and those were generally not even about the bands I was talking about. At one point, I posted 6 replies in a row! But you, it's how it goes. It's all there, if anyone cares about it I'm sure they'd reply. If not, no big deal.

I'll be updating that thread soon with a few new bands I've discovered! Hehe.

What does annoy me is that people can write in a thread to attack someone for posting about a band, but somehow can't summon the energy to click on a goddamn link. What's the matter with you all?

And I've learned in the past to keep my negative comments to myself. If I like something you post, I'll reply. If not, I'll not reply because I don't need you taking a hissy fit because I think what you posted sucked.

No, I don't actually think it sucks, just don't like it. I was using an extreme example. I'm also not going to find examples, that would be childish. I'll take back what I said before, it came out wrong.

Basically, I don't want to rock the boat. I haven't the time.

Fair enough...I'm pretty sure I've never done that, though. As you said, enough of a battle trying to get people to view the damn things!
