I downloaded the EP a while back because of the review here and, try as I might, could not get into it. But, for some reason, I decided to try out The Ichneumon Method and it turned out to be pretty great.

Which is more representative of the band? Should I seek out the newer album or will it just be more of what was on Physical Illucinations...?

It's all noisy and shit. I haven't got any of them yet, too expensive for this poor urchin, the person you should be talking to is Aaron, he's a big fan.

The Deleted Scenes... is awesome. One of the best ever. Though I get why it is hard for somebody to get into. Try redaing Aaron's review of Physical Illucinations, might give you and idea of how to listen to this album and which mood to be in.

If you want the sci-fi apocalypticoblackmetal, you're out of luck. Deleted Scenes has almost none of that there; it's nearly all dark ambient noises and shit.

Think an hour-long, multi-part Heaving Salvation in the Paradise of Rust.

I definately prefer the The Ichneumon Method (And Less Welcome Techniques) over the EP and Deleted Scenes.... What DM said above is spot on as the newer album is kind of a progression that furthers the direction the EP hinted at.
