Does anybody care about the next Slayer album? From what I have been reading, it sounds very promising. But I have heard all the same before (metallica-st. anger, exodus-shovel headed kill machine, etc.) they say it's very old school, like Seasons. But does anyone even care? With Dave back it could be good, better than God Hates Us All hopefully.

I did like GHUA so my expectations are sky high and now that Dave is back I'm sure I won't be dissapointed.

+1

Slayer better get back with a top notch album or they're going in all metalheads' hearts the way In Flames, CoB or Metallica did... considering Kerry Ling's musical taste I kinda doubt it but it's true he never was the main songwriter in Slayer so, who knows ?

I want a modern South Of Heaven ! 8)

NP
Emilie Simon "st"
(her 1rst album... excellent ! 8) )

Its about 50% Hanneman, 40% King, 10% Araya is it not?

I don't care, I am merely waiting for the tour after the release.

Well that's probably the best we can all hope for, but I wouldn't hold your breath my seafaring friend.

I've actually never been a huge Slayer fan, but I have liked everything they've done except the shitty covers album.

What's this?

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

The beginning of every fucking Kerry King solo!!

Ehh... I don't have high hopes for this. Slayer really have one great album for me; thats South of Heaven, and God Hates Us All was really, really shitty.. Well, hopefully this will be all right.

Gave up on them after Divine Intervention. Even with Lombardo I don't see the magic happening again. Kerry King, unfortunately, listens to shit these days, and lets said shit creep into the music he writes. I don't see how it could be worse than God Hates Us All though, so there's always that........I guess. :?

Lombardo should stick with Grip Inc. & Fantômas... those two bands are much better than Slayer was on their two last albums and better than anything Slayer will release in the future

NP
Philip Glass "Dracula"
(1999 soundtrack for the 1931 Todd Browning/Bela Lugosi classic)

But Dave cannot really show his skills in Fantomas.

I'd never heard anything from Divine Intervention until about a month ago when I saw one of the videos on MTV2. Tom was singing - not his usual thing, but actually singing. It was pretty disconcerting. :?

I've only heard Fantomas and no he can't. You can't possibly show me a better drumwork in the Fantomas discography than say Angel of Death. You're just saying that because you like Fantomas better.

Oh, I definitely like it. Show No Mercy, Hell Awaits, and to a lesser extent Reign in Blood and Seasons in the Abyss are all good albums, but South is the only one I find to be very great.
