After reading the comments I realize what humans can perceive and what the real matter was at the beginning. What I was trying to convey is: Ihsahn as a composer is brilliantly talented (My definition of a Brilliant musician: A composer who can deliver his/her inner-self logically and emotionally to the point which it can touch and settle and transform to another human being). Take Anthems To The Welkin At Dusk, tell me of another Metal composer who did the same. Who created the same atmosphere and revealed "The In Depth Chaotic Beauty". Beethoven, take his for example "Piano concerto num 4 & 5 Emperor”. The beauty, the thought and the transform of emotions and logic are not comparable at the same state but when observing it from an out-side point of view and angle: It Bounds. Bach, his organic works, which are chaotic, which are beautiful and heavy! I mean after all Heavy Metal music has classical roots. Symphonic, Heavy, Beautiful and Thoughtful.
Or bands like Drudkh, Mystic Forest, Hollenthon carry the same idea and these are just a few. What was the whole idea of bringing
Synths, and classical instruments to Metal, anyhow?

The Ihnsahn thing seems very personal. I for one fail to see his atmospheres, or at least the quality of them.

You know, Eisenfaust, I may have said too much. I just felt like getting some of that off my chest, and maybe inciting a little more discussion.

Its also possible that I;'m too demanding. I simply want to read well thought-out and developed ideas, rather than endless exchanges about people's opinions of this or that with explitives in there. If you have opinion, I maintain, I don't want to hear only it, but also an EXPLANATION. I don't see that often , and would like to see it more often. But yes, it takes a long time and some serious effort to write good quality ideas out.

Too often, people talk about this sucks or that rules. Why? is my perennial question. I want interesing stuff to read, not just a bunch of anonymous posters saying what they like of hate!

That's all. Can you blame me?

Not at all.. As a matter of fact I partially agree with you. If I seemed hostile it was not my intention... You should post here more frequently..

@ Define Infinity:

I understand what your point is except for this:

Could you elaborate a bit on this.

I wholeheartedly agree that one of the most admirable skills a musician (or any other artist for that matter) can possess is the ability of channelling and evoking emotions and atmospheres. That is exactly what I want from my music. However, as Misha, I just don’t think Ihashn does a particularly good job at it.

Well my friend (EisenFaust) I am talking the misunderstandings of people, which is by the way very normal and it happens every fuckin' day.
