The Iron Maiden forums are shutting down.... :cry:

I learned of most of the bands I listen to now from there...been a member there since 1999 so it's quite depressing to see it go....

Over the past two to three years they did start to crap out. You had to fight the n00bs starting flame wars and such, but the usual good people were still there.

Why are they shutting down? If they're still being used their should be no problem. Or am I wrong?

You oughta check it out. It's turned into insanity over there.

Reasons? They won't give an official reason, but here's the few we all beleive.

1. Sanctuary is cutting off forums that use a ton of bandwidth to save money.

2. Management is still trying to keep the fact that the Death on the Road DVD is defective under wraps.

3. Trolling and spamming on the boards.

After you get to Brave New World the pictures skips constantly until the end of the show (at least it does on both discs of my friend's copy). Sound unaffected.

hehe, I didn't advertise where I was going. No need to bring a squad of trolls with me now, is there?

Toilet duty? Oh shit.....

My DOTR DVD works fine til it hits the end of Rainmaker, than it kicks out to the song selection screen. It also kicks back out at the end of Brave New World and Paschendale. Picture and sound are fine though, just gotta remember to next track at the end of those three songs or you gotta go through the menu to select the next track.
